The Cuong Nhu international training camp, or IATC, is coming up in less than two weeks! We’ll have a contingent of about a dozen students and instructors attending this year, flying to Atlanta for the Memorial Day weekend event. This year’s camp will be held on the campus of Emory University.
IATC offers two-and-a-half days of training for students of all ages, ranks and abilities. Participants get to choose from a wide variety of classes, often getting a taste of special topics or advanced techniques they might not get as a regular part of the curriculum. They also get to see black belt testing, dan rank testing (for higher degrees of black belt), and demonstrations, and take class with top instructors from across the U.S. and the world.
IATC is also a “family reunion” of sorts for Cuong Nhu members, who enjoy getting together with old friends – and making new ones – within the Cuong Nhu extended family. We’re expecting over 400 participants this year.
If you weren’t able to make the trip this year, mark your calendar for next year! IATC always takes place on Memorial Day Weekend, and traditionally goes to the same city two years in a row – so you can plan ahead to be in Atlanta bright and early on Friday, May 25, 2012.
